ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Amy, a recent graduate from the University of the Arts London, studying Hair, Makeup and Prosthetics for Performance at London College of Fashion. From Essex and London, I am a freelance hair and makeup artist, with a particular interest in contemporary and period wigs, hair and makeup within the theatre industry, as in editorial styles and high fashion. I am a creative individual, who loves to experiment and engage in new, challenging experiences and learn as much as possible. I am most passionate about creating looks that embody my personal style and values, and that can be a fun experience and unique. Through my many years of studying I have had the chance to earn and develop my skills in many areas including prosthetic making and applying, wig blocking and styling, special effects makeup from out of kit and so on. I am eager to work in all fields and get as much experience as possible.

I am very passionate about the topic of sustainability and integrating this concept into the practice of hair and makeup where possible, and encouraging brands to take on a more sustainable approach with their products. I am also passionate about the idea of inclusivity in the industry for young people, as someone from a low- income background with no links in the industry, it is incredibly hard to get your foot in the door, which is a universal issue for young people in the same situation and is something I am keen to advocate for to make more accessible for others as I go forward in my career.
